What is Pencils of Promise?

I have started my small fundraising campaign for Pencils of Promise. 

Though my birthday passed, and I didn't do any marathons, I want the readers to support this organization. 

Pencils of Promise was founded in 2008, and in 2018 it marked its 10th year anniversary. 

In ten years this organization have built more than 500 schools in Ghana, Laos and Guatemala. 

The founder of this organization is Adam Braun, who I got to know thanks to his book 'Pencils of Promise'

When he was working for financial organizations, he realized that the work didn't fulfill his own dreams and desires. So he travelled the world, in each country he stopped, he asked a child

'If he could have anything in the world, what it would be...'

Once in one country, one child said that he wanted a pencil. 

After that he bought many pencils and gave them to children. 

Later, he decided to give up his job and then founded this organization which is based on charity of rich people. 

But I do not think only rich people can support it, I think everyone can support this work. 

Unlike other charity organizations, their work is transparent and all financial statements and reports 

are on their homepage. ❤☆

☆I dream one day I will visit their headquarter in NYC and give my small donation. 

Let's support something big than ourselves!
