Health Benefits of Chickpeas

Many people are not aware of the benefits of chickpeas. 


Originally chickpeas come from the Middle East. They are highly nutritious type of food and contain carbohydrates, fiber, and vitamins. 

They are good for weight management and to control cholesterol. 



They can be boiled, roasted, and can be added to salads;


I added chickpeas to salad (before soaking them for 10 hours and then boiled for 10 minutes) along with tomatoes, iceberg leaves, crispy bread, boiled eggs with mayonnaise and mustard.
